Patient CL

Cedrick was injured in a car accident when he was 36 years old. He had physical therapy and epidural steroid injections but continued to have back pain. He came to us after two-years of ineffective treatment. His MRI showed a large disc protrusion at L4/5 and L5/S1. On examination, Cedrick had evidence of nerve damage and had weakness to his left leg and foot. Cedrick was in severe pain and was severely disabled from his back injury. Cedrick underwent decompressive discectomy at L4/5 and L5/S1.After surgery, his back pain improved over 80%. His disability improved by 70%. His left leg strength improved and is now normal.
